Trolley Officials Prepare For Tropical Storm Fay
Pier Park Express Suspends at 5 p.m., Remaining Routes Unaltered

(Panama City, Fla.) - As Tropical Storm Fay approaches Bay County, officials have reported that the trolley will suspend the Pier Park Express today at 5 p.m. This weekend beach route will not run for the remainder of the weekend. Bay Town Trolley’s other routes will continue to run according to schedule till 8 p.m. this evening unless the county declares a local state of emergency.
“We are not taking this storm lightly as we’re well aware of the severe damages a tropical storm can cause,” said Beth Coulliette, Bay Town Trolley’s executive director. “Not only is it our mission to continue providing public transportation to our riders safely and efficiently, but we are also standing by in case the county needs us to implement the Emergency Disaster Plan.”
The latest weather predictions show Fay entering Bay County early Saturday morning. If the storm intensifies, Bay Town Trolley’s vehicles and drivers are prepared to transport Bay County residents to open shelters.

For the past 12 years Bay Town Trolley has provided public transportation services to Bay County with the mission of moving riders of Bay County with clean, safe, efficient and dependable transportation while enhancing the quality of life and meeting the growing needs of the community. The system operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. The Pier Park Express, Bay Town Trolley’s weekend beach route runs Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – midnight.
