(Panama City, Fla.) - Bay Town Trolley begins their Harvest Trolley food drive today. This annual countywide drive will run from November 1 - 15, 2005. This year, Bay Town Trolley has teamed up with The Salvation Army, and all food donations will benefit displaced hurricane victims, disadvantaged families and elderly throughout Bay County. From our estimates this is the largest food drive of its kind in Bay County.
Bay County residents are urged to donate non-perishable food items and canned goods at one of nearly 30 local businesses, organizations and schools participating as drop off locations. A complete listing of locations are attached.
"Harvest Trolley allows us to give back to the community during this holiday season," said Doug Boice, General Manager, Bay Town Trolley. "It is truly inspiring to see that as the needs in Bay County grow, so does the willingness of the community to respond."
Over the years, Bay Town Trolley has worked with 80 businesses and schools to donate over 14,000 pounds of food. For more information about the Harvest Trolley food drive visit www.baytowntrolley.org or contact Kelly Moore at (850) 878-5433 x36.
