(Panama City, Fla.) - Bay Town Trolley representatives announced today that Hurricane Katrina victims will receive free Trolley rides through September 30, 2005. Additionally, a loop will be added to the Trolley extending service to the hurricane refugee camp at the local fairgrounds.

Displaced hurricane victims possessing valid identification from Alabama, Mississippi or Louisiana will ride the Bay Town Trolley at no cost.

"We are glad that we can provide this service to the victims of hurricane Katrina - there is an overwhelming need to reach out in times like this," says Doug Boice, General Manager for Bay Town Trolley. "Our hearts go out to the many people who are feeling the effects of this catastrophic event."

To better assist these hurricane victims, Bay Town Trolley will add a loop to Route 3, servicing the refugee camp at the fairgrounds. This route modification will allow for ease of access and use for those currently living at the

fairgrounds.

This route revision comes at the perfect time, as Bay Town Trolley will play a vital role in transporting these victims to the free community Bar-B-Q dinner, September 2, 2005 at the Sunset Pavilion on the Boardwalk Beach Resort.

During this time, all other rider fares will remain as previously posted. Please call 850-769-0557 or visit www.baytowntrolley.org for more information regarding free fare eligibility and route changes.
